The goal of the project during the five-year sustainability period, which began on June 11th, 2024, is to achieve the economic sustainability of its results and full financial self-sufficiency, ensuring the continuation of excellent research within its key activities.
The sources of income for this period are partially secured through national and international research grants. Results of some grant applications are still pending, and additional applications are under preparation.
The team primarily benefits from the unique instrumentation acquired and implemented during the project's supported phase. Of the original three measurement vehicles, we now operate only one, while another vehicle is currently on loan from a sponsor. Some mobile instruments have been installed at high-altitude observatories as stationary components within the GASTRON network. In addition to using vehicles for mobile thunderstorm measurements, we also deploy them in support of UAV operations.
